Request a Feature
What is a Feature Request?
Drupal and CiviCRM are continually upgrading and adding functionality to their CMSs. Many improvements are in the form of modules that improve user and administrative experience and/or take advantage of emerging technologies. By taking advantage of these improvements, Gingerfeet recognizes their already great package can be made even better! So if you've heard about a cool technology or interesting functionality you thought might enhance your site, or been browsing Drupal or CiviCRM and read about an interesting module you'd like to see included, we'd like to hear from you.
Feature Request versus Funded Feature Enhancement
Many new enhancements to Drupal and CiviCRM are those desired by many different users. Some popular modules/functionality offered in Drupal and CiviCRM eventually become "committed to core", meaning it becomes a part of the CMS itself rather than as an add-on. Some requests for functionality are particular to a specific sector or are programmatically intensive and therefore require funding to develop. Rather than one organization funding the whole project, the cost can be spread out through several organizations contributing, making it cost effective for the whole. CiviCRM has it's own version of this through CiviCRM – Make It Happen. Gingerfeet has it's version with Funded Feature Enhancement.
As we review your feature requests, we make every attempt to provide you with improvements free-of-charge. But certain feature requests may require funding. When that happens, we'll post the request and ask for donations. As the goal amount is met, we'll develop and implement the functionality and all will benefit.
So go ahead! Make your request! Your input helps guide future improvements to the GingerFeet user experience.
