Verifying Your Domain Name Ownership

If you are using GingerFeet as your domain name registrar, you DO NOT have to follow these instructions.

Google requires that you verify that you own the domain you are using for your Google Apps for Non-Profits account.

To verify your domain name ownership:

  1. Login to your Google Apps control panel.
  2. Click the Continue with Setup Guide button.

  3. Under the Welcome menu on the left, click Verify domain ownership.
  4. Click the Verify button. [If you do not see a Verify button if your domain name is registered with GingerFeet and we have pointed your MX records to your Google Apps account.]
  5. Select Add a Meta Tag to your home page.
  6. Copy the <meta> tag provided in your control panel's instructions.
  7. Navigate to your website and login.
  8. Within Drupal, navigate Site Building -> Site Verifications -> Add Verification.

  9. Select Google from the Search Engine drop-down.
  10. Click the Next button.
  11. Paste the <meta> tag provided in your control panel's instructions in the Verification META tag field.

  12. Click the Save button.

Your domain will now be verified by Google.
